COBRA Administrative Manual


The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) was enacted in 1986. COBRA effects employers with 20 or more workers on a typical business day during their preceding calendar year which offer employees health coverage.

The laws intend to provide the opportunity for a temporary extension of health insurance coverage at group rates when employees leave under certain situations, where coverage under the plan would otherwise end.

To aid your business in the management of your COBRA issues, SESCO Management Consultants has developed the COBRA Administrative Manual. This manual includes all of the notification requirements and notice of conversion rights to include HIPAA regulations. It has also been updated to include a subsidy addendum and required subsidy forms.
