Payroll Employment Rises by 222,000; Unemployment Rate Changes Little at 4.4%

The U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), has released payroll employment date and the unemployment rate for June 2017. Total non-farm payroll employment increased by 222,000, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.4 percent. Employment increased in health care, social assistance, financial activities, and mining.
