DHS Announces That Employers Should Continue to Use the Current I-9 Form After October 31

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS") has announced that employers should continue to use the current I-9 form after the October 31, 2022, expiration date. DHS will advise when the new I-9 form is operational. They first need to publish a notice in the Federal Register. The next generation form is rumored to be shorter.
